Chiller Size Reduction
Your Conventional Chiller for AC is designed for peak load + 25% buffer. Prithivi 5.0 with CTES system + SmartTESS Storage Tank (backup) results Chiller size reduction. Since stored cooling energy is available from the SmartTESS tank, the system does not require oversizing of chillers for buffer capacity, resulting in an optimised and efficient chiller plant design.
Generator Size Reduction
Prithivi 5.0 with CTES system optimised AC Chillers will produce cool energy whenever power cost is less. Since we have SmartTESS tank it can provide cool energy whenever required so for buffer we need not increase chiller size & no generator required for running the AC chillers. Small generator may be needed to run pumps and AHUs.
Power Cost Savings
In Tamil Nadu, the High Tension (HT) electricity tariff distinguishes charges based on peak and non-peak hours. Peak hours for HT consumers are defined as 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, during which an extra 25% is charged on the regular energy tariff. Non-peak hours are billed at the standard HT tariff, with an additional 5% rebate on energy charges for night usage (10:00 PM to 5:00 AM), encouraging load shifting to off-peak hours.
